From the automotive business to products for children
Operational since 1921, at the start Lubex specialized in dealing with lubricating oil. Since the Seventies the company began diversifying on other markets, at first with products linked with the automotive business and later extending from car accessories to the bicycle world, eventually including children’s bikes and similar goods. At present the group counts on six product divisions, each with its own sales network; among them, baby care and toys addressing mass market and specialist retailers.
“In the latter two divisions we distribute products belonging to five different categories: children’s bicycles (the main catalogue, where we now introduce new characters, including Barbie and Disney’s Stitch) and relevant accessories, scooters and trikes, feeding articles and water-bottles, travel accessories for children, arts & crafts”, says Fabio Zuanazzi, in charge of the children’s product lines. “The portfolio is large and includes the leading licenses. Besides adding new characters, the bicycle offer is improved thanks to a development of the range, better care for details and advancements in terms of performance and quality. In the bike accessories selection we propose the Streetjam line of 3D-profiled helmets and a line of colour-changing helmets: these are white when at home but with sunlight become coloured thanks to an exclusive innovation. The double-walled thermos flasks with straw and relevant cover are high-quality, fit for school as well; we offer the cheaper non-thermos version too”.
Zuanazzi informs that managers of the Australian company which manufactures the 3D helmets have attended Toys & Baby Milano.
